Point in Canon: In the middle of "Diaboromon Strikes Back", before the twenty years later epilogue.

Physical Description of Character: Daisuke has short, spiky auburn hair and brown eyes. Whenever you look at him he is almost always seen wearing his favorite brand of simple white goggles. He never takes them off, that is, unless he has to: play soccer, take a bath, or to go to sleep. Besides his goggle fashion statement, Daisuke mostly tends to wear shorts, long or short sleeved shirts and vests; all of different colors.
Personality: Daisuke isn’t extremely smart; he’s slow and often times clueless. Though, when he’s introduced to a hard and complex situation he’ll understand it eventually. He’s slightly immature and often times makes silly faces when he doesn’t like the situation he’s in. He also dislikes Takeru’s relationship with Hikari, and frequently never says his name correctly. He even went far enough to force Veemon into digivolving to his champion level. Though as he progresses through he eventually drops it and comes to respect Takeru in his own special way.

Immaturity set aside, Daisuke is very outgoing, friendly, and optimistic. He also tends to not give up on things as easily as others would. Often times he rushes headfirst into problems. He makes mistakes, but, no matter how dire or troublesome the situation was he never lost hope. Daisuke was also the first to accept Ken for who he was.

Whenever Daisuke isn’t fighting against evils in the digimon world, he enjoys kicking back with his friends, playing soccer with Taichi and Ken, playing video games, annoying his older sister Jun, and eating ramen.
History: Daisuke’s first digi-experience was in 1999. He was one of the children that were captured during Vamdemon’s reign. Because of this, he became a DigiDestined three years later. He becomes the leader (after receiving Taichi’s goggles) of the new DigiDestined crew and helps the older DigiDestined take down the multiplying dark spirals. In the beginning he lets his jealousy of Takeru get the better of him and often times tries to show off infront of Hikari as if to persuade her.

During a soccer match, Daisuke tackles Ken Ichijouji and scrapes his ankle up. Later on in the digital world during a fight with the Digimon Kaiser, Daisuke notices that the bruise the Kaiser has on his leg is on the same leg of which Ken obtained during the soccer match. Ken reveals himself as the Kaiser and flies off.

During the last battle with Kimeramon Daisuke is brought to the engine room with the aid of wormmon and finds that the base’s power was being run by the digi-egg of miracles. He uses the eggs power (and wormmon’s sacrifice) to armor digivolve Veemon into Maganamon, inevitably destroying Kimeramon and the Kaiser’s base.

Later on Daisuke receives a distress message from Hikari on his D3; Daisuke rushes over to America with Miyako and Iori. On the way they run into a DigiDestined named Wallace, who makes light on the situation that happened in 1999. They later discover that Wallace has two digimon, and one of them, Kokomon, is running rampant all over America. Wallace explained that he had come from New York and was going back to Colorado when this all started.

During the final battle with Cherubimon, Daisuke uses the digi-egg of miracles to help his and Wallace’s digimon armor digivolve into Maganamon and Rapidmon and in the end, the put an end to Kokomon’s pain.

Coming back to Japan, Daisuke was the first out of the new set of DigiDestined to get his digimon to digivolve. He was also the first to trust Ken into the group. Making a trip back to the Digiworld to put an end to the reactive Kaiser base, Daisuke “fights” with Ken and tried to make him realize that all he ever wanted was to be his friend. At that moment their digimon were able to DNA digivolve to Paildramon. Though it took some hard work, he manages to persuade everyone else to trust Ken. With everything settled, the group manages to put together a small Christmas party.

The party was short lived when wild digimon started running rampant at Yamato’s concert, as well as around the world. After sending the digimon back to the Digiworld Daisuke set off to America once more to help Mimi and another DigiDestined named Michael to battle Cherrymon at Rockefeller Center in New York City.

Later on Daisuke and the others are pitted against Belial Vamdemon. And while his friends were sent to dreamworlds with their greatest desire, Daisuke remained untouched. Instead, he chose to invade each of his friend’s dreamworlds to bring them back to reality. And thanks to Daisuke’s optimism he encouraged his friends; and miraculously their digimon evolved into their separate forms, and with a combined attack from the separate digimon they defeated Belial Vamdemon.

Three years after Diablomon, he’s back and with a vengeance striking terror once again over the internet. Daisuke was on his way to soccer practice when Izumi contacted him to inform him of what was going on. He and Ken set out to retrieve the kuramon and when discovering that Hikari and Takeru were helping out Taichi and Yamato this only made Daisuke want to help them out. However, because of his urge to get in (which was apart of Diablomon’s revenge) the Kuramon swarmed from the gate to merge into Armagemon.
Magical Powers/Skills: Not really. Other then being DigiDestined and hiding having a digimon live in his room he can't make things fly or float.
Weapons: Unless throwing his digivice and D3's are counted as weapons, then he has none.
